PE at Tudor 2019 / 2020

Our vision for PE at Tudor

As physical education is vital for our children to be happy and healthy, we set out an action plan to ensure the funding we receive and the lessons which are delivered, are value for money and high quality.

Please find attach the PE action Plan for 2018/2019 and 2019/2020

Our curriculum

The Government expectation is for all children in Primary Schools to participate in a minimum of 2 hours of physical activity, every week. At Tudor, this time is achieved through a range of activities, from Gym Trails and Trikes in EYFS, to Swimming and Tag Rugby in KS2.

Our lessons are delivered by Mr Gates, our Sports Coach, along with a session delivered by the class teacher. Our Swimming lessons are at the Kingfisher Centre in Sudbury, which are delivered by qualified coaches.

House Teams and coloured t-shirts

We begin the 2nd year of our coloured house team t-shirts - it looked wonderfully colourful on our Sports Day and made it easy to see which team the children were representing. The office are in charge of ordering any additional t-shirts needed and any children new to Tudor are entitled to their first t-shirt free of charge.

We run many after school clubs here at Tudor every day of the week. These are mainly run by Mr Gates or Mrs Pryce-Hall, with some run by Prestige sport.

Please contact the school office if your child would like to join an after school club.
