Home Learning
At Tudor we believe that home learning is a vital link in the working partnership between children, parents and staff. Worthwhile tasks that are completed at home enable children to appreciate the help and support of their families in 'thinking together'. At Tudor, we often refer to homework as 'home learning'.
In our policy below is lots of detail to explain how much learning we intend will be done at home for each phase in school. Our activities are age appropriate and are designed to link to, extend or support the learning that the children do in their classrooms.
We are happy to be asked about homework by children, or their parents. If ever a child needs further explanation about a task, please contact your child's teacher and ask them to explain a little more. Deadlines for home learning are clearly set, and in Upper key stage two we ensure that we communicate with parents if home learning tasks are not being completed by the child.
