Here is some homework Felbrigg Class have completed. Some have created a diorama of the Australian outback and some have chosen the Great Barrier Reef! It is all part of their topic about Australia this term! Very topical given the events there currently.
Thank you parents and chidlren of Felbrigg class for your enthusiasm and time given for this project!

Felbrigg - Miss Hassen

Year 1

Welcome to Felbrigg class!

Welcome to the Autumn term!

Felbrigg class consists of Miss Hassen, Miss Harvey, Mrs Mansfield, Mrs Smith and 22 lovely children who are eager to learn! We follow the National Curriculum for all subjects, meeting the expectations through Quigley Essentials for our Topic planning. . Maths is covered with a combination of resources from The White Rose Hub and classroom secrets. Our English is planned based around a story that fits with the theme of our writing topic. For example we are currently reading 'Traction Man' because we are learning about lists, labels and captions. During the summer term, all year 1 children will take part in the statutory Phonics Screening.

Our topic this half term is called 'Toy Story'! We will become explorers, historians, artists and many more roles as we explore the wonderful world of toys! We will be looking into the history of toys and be able to compare some of the very first toys to the toys we play with today! Check back to see some of the wonderful things we have accomplished.

Home learning

We will send home maths and phonics home learning every Friday and it should be handed in by the following Wednesday.

We have a home learning challenge grid for those weekends when you have a little more time.  These can be recorded in their home learning books, or separately in any creative way you wish!  Remember you can always put photos and videos on Tapestry.
